Default Mastering question

Mastering with my Korg D1600 and mastering software
I use a Korg D1600 stand alone recorder. However, I would like to get better quality recording by mastering my tracks using software. Is there a way to use a mastering software like Ozone 4 with my Korg D1600 that will produce better sound quality results? Or do I have to go the computer, interface, software route to get the best quality in your face, clear loud recordings and mastering?

Hi,
Welcome to StudioTrax. For best results, I would encourage you to bounce your D1600 mixes to 2 tracks, export as wave files - (burn to CD), then import to mastering software on your PC. I use Wavelab. There are many software packages you may choose from based upon your budget and requirements.

Hope this helps.
