Question Anyone done the upgade to Cubase 7.5?

    Is it worth the $50?

    .Yeah, yeah, I know..

It's apparently beyond what normal upgrades have been, not just the usual upgrade fare.. bug fixes, visual enhancements etc., but some hefty new instruments, plugins and so on. There's a lot of Score editing enhancement (no use to me at all) "Track versions"...which looks completely redundant to me. Really...it looks like I'd be paying $50 for the re-introduction of Steinberg's "legendary" tape saturation plugin "Magneto" which is the only thing that's caught my eye....meh!

Anyone done it...and glad they did?

Me.. *raises hand* I did it.. More so just to stay on the current version and be as close to v8.0 when it's released.. Pay $50 now to go from v7 to v7.5 and when v8 comes out it'll cost less to move to it than it would to go from v7 to v8..

I have noticed a lot of the oddities of the mix console I was seeing have disappeared in v7.5. Haven't used track versions yet..

It is a fantastic upgrade. But that is because it enhanced my workflow. Ultimately that is what matters.

Currently testing Bitwig. It is really cool.

Makes sense Stevo...about stair-stepping to the next major upgrade...I guess I'll have to dump out the penny jar and count 'em up.
